Since a youth may enter the program in the sixth grade and continue each year until graduation from high school, the mentoring experience is, potentially, a seven-year journey-an opportunity to know seven adults in the congregation as trusted friends. It is also an opportunity for the youth, as he/she journeys toward maturity, to become more and more familiar with Covenant. Many of the experiences shared with mentors and their youth are:
