The scripture reading for this Sunday was Zephaniah 3:14-20.
This Sunday was music-filled. Listen to our amazing choir sing:

We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you
IV Gratias agimus Tibi
We give you thanks
V Propter magnam gloriam tuam
Because of your great glory
VI Domine Deus (solo)
Lord God, ruler of the heavens, God almighty
VII Domine Fili unigenite
Only begotten Son, Jesus Christ
VIII Domine Deus, Agnus Dei (solo and chorus)
Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the world’s sins.
Have mercy on us.
IX Qui tollis peccata mundi
You who take away the world’s sins, hear our prayer.
X Qui sedes ad dexteram Patris (solo)
You who sit at the right hand of God, have mercy on us.
XI Quoniam tu solus sanctus.
You alone are holy, you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the highest, Jesus Christ
XII Cum Sancto Spiritu
With the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God. Amen
This past Sunday, our elementary Sunday School class focused on the Advent theme of peace and how we could help bring peace to others. Those who need it most are often in the midst of peace's extreme opposite: war.
Our task was to create cards that would be sent to those serving in the military overseas. These cards were heartfelt and filled with cheery holiday pictures. One theme did stand out; and it will likely be as timeless as war and peace itself: Star Wars.
