Education at
Covenant Church

At Covenant, education is a cornerstone of our community life. From nurturing young minds to fostering lifelong learning, we offer programs for all ages that inspire growth, inclusivity, and spiritual exploration.

Adult Education

When and Where?

Sundays at 9:30 AM on the 2nd floor of the Huff Fellowship Hall building.

Our Adult Education program provides a variety of topics and formats, allowing participants to engage with subjects that resonate with their spiritual journey. Whether exploring scripture, social justice, or personal growth, these sessions are designed to meet you where you are, offering the tools you need to deepen your understanding and faith.

Children’s Education

Ages: Pre-K through 5th grade
When: During Sunday worship (following the Time for Children)
Where: Children’s Area in the Sanctuary building

Children begin worship in the sanctuary and, after a special Time for Children, have the option to join the Children’s Education program. Our curriculum emphasizes love, inclusivity, and kindness, encouraging young learners to:

Embrace diversity and develop empathy.

Explore themes of social justice and environmental stewardship.

Participate in storytelling, interactive activities, and meaningful discussions.

On first Sundays, older elementary school-aged children stay through and after the service to learn about worship and how our church works. They also serve as acolytes and lead from the pulpit.

Youth Education

Ages: 6th–12th grade
When:
12:15 PM on the 1st and 3rd Sundays
Where:
Youth Room in the Huff Fellowship Hall

Our Youth Education program creates a safe and dynamic space for teens to explore their faith and engage with the world around them. Rooted in Progressive Christianity and Shine curricula, it focuses on:

Social Justice: Exploring issues that matter and how faith calls us to respond.

Inclusivity and Interfaith Dialogue: Encouraging open-mindedness and respect for all.

Critical Engagement: Diving deeper into scripture and spiritual questions.

Ethical Living and Activism: Inspiring youth to live with purpose and make a difference.

Nursery

Ages: 0–2 years
When:
During Sunday worship
Where:
Sanctuary building

For our youngest members, a nursery is available during the service, offering a safe and nurturing environment and allowing parents to worship with peace of mind.
